Both Indian and Australian teams are set to square off against each other in the final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy scheduled on Friday, 15 January at the Gaba International stadium in the Brisbane. The last match of the series and the tour of India to Australia will be decider match and will give winner of the Trophy.

The four-match series currently stands at 1-1, with Australia winning the first at Adelaide and India second at Melbourne. The Ajinkya Rahane-led Indian side once again made a strong comeback in the third Test to register a sensational draw at Sydney.

Now Australia would be in real trouble after losing the one handed match at Sydney. There are higher chances of series loss for Australia being the host seeing India’s domination throughout the series. However Australia has upper hand in this match due to their brilliant record at Brisbane and India playing without their key players.

Indian players have been revolved around Injury conflict since IPL earlier last year in November. And now the condition is they don’t even have a single main pace bowler in the playing XI. Ishant Sharma and Bhuvi Kumar were already ruled out; Mohammad Shami got his way back home in the first Test match, Umesh Yadav got ruled out in the second one at Melbourne and now the most reliable bowler Bumrah is out of playing XI due to abdomen strain.

There are chances that India can’t even form a suitable playing XI for the important match of the series. Whether they have to play with 6 batsmen and 4 bowlers or 5 batsmen and 5 new bowlers. On the other hand Australia may continue with the same playing XI except Will Pucovski who got injured while batting in the last match. Marcus Harries will replace him.

Australia Predicted Playing XI: Matthew Wade, Marcus Harris, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Tim Paine, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood

India Predicted Playing XI: Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal or Wriddhiman Saha, Rishabh Pant, Shardul Thakur, Ravichandran Ashwin, T Natarajan or Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini
