After wondering around the losing corner from the day 3 India finally succeed to draw the 3rd Test match in Sydney against Australia. Some top class knocks by Indian players and complete domination by the entire batting unit saved India to lose the match.

Cricket viewers get to see the proper test match cricket on day 5 of the match while India started with Pujara and Rahane to chase down 309 runs. Rahane though got out early scoring just 4 runs. The surprise packet from India, Rishabh Pant entered the field. He was promoted to the number 5 ahead of Hanuma Vihari. Pant not only scored a super-fining knock but also attacked Australian bowlers by his vital T20 batting skills.

Rishabh Pant scored 97 runs in 118 balls and build almost winning partnership of 142 runs with Pujara. Pujara scored 77 runs in 205 balls. Pant got bit unlucky and got catch out by the guly player while playing unacademy shot in Lyon’s over. Pujara on the other hand scored some quick runs at the end of his innings but ultimately got bowled by Hazlewood.

India’s condition was so complex that the knocks Pujara and Pant played earlier drive them close to the victory but unfortunately fell short of proper batsmen in the middle. The only pair Hanuma Vihari and Ashwin was reliable because Jadeja is suffering from an injury from last two days. And the last recognized pair of India turned the match for both the sides.

Both Ashwin and Vihari played out of their skin, dominated Australian bowling unit and hold the strings on field till the last bowl. They faced a lot of problems including normal chit-chat with Australians around the striking end, sledging and defending risky short balls saving themselves from injuries. As Ashwin got hit more than five times on gloves while Vihari couldn’t even walk in the last overs due to muscle strain.

But Definitely India directed the match to drawn result and the complete test cricket knocks of Indian batting unit is the reason behind that. At the end of the day Ashwin Scored 39 runs in 128 balls while Vihari scored 23 runs in 161 balls; the figures might not look great but the result is.
