India-Australia ODI series created buzz in cricket circles with high class performance by both sides and intent they showed in this 3 matches. Host of the tour Australia won the series by 2-1 but India fought well throughout the series. Many players reach new milestones, created new records which helped their respective sides won the matches. 389- Australia scored their best total against India in ODI format in the 2nd ODI at Sydney Cricket Ground. With the half-centuries of Warner, Finch, Labuschagne and Maxwell and Smith’s century Australia reached this milestone. 12,000- Virat Kohli surpasses 12,000 runs in the third ODI of the series. He became the fastest batsmen to do so; took 242 innings 58 less than Sachin Tendulkar. Also he crossed 22,000 international runs in the 2nd ODI. 249- Aaron Finch becomes the leading run scorer of the series. He consistently performed well and scored 3 consecutive half centuries. Hardik Pandya from Indian side scored 210 runs with two 90 scores and became leading run scorer for India. 1st- Steven Smith becomes the first batsman to score 3 consecutive centuries against India in ODIs. He stands second in the run scorers list as he scored 216 runs with 2 centuries. Also he scored 5 centuries against India in ODIs. 0- Jasprit Bumrah continues his record of not taking a single wicket in power play this year. He took in total 4 wickets in 3 ODIs. Also Virat Kohli continues the record of not scoring a single Century in the 2020. He missed century by 11 runs in the 2nd ODI. 7- Adam Zampa, Australian young spinner took seven wickets and became the highest wicket taker of the series. Josh Hazlewood took 6.
