India and Australia tour will start tomorrow on 27 November, Friday with the ODI series. Both the teams will play this first ODI match after a nearly nine months break. Due to COVID pandemic both the teams were away from the international cricket. Players and their fans will celebrate this return to international cricket and would enjoy the opening match of the tour.
If we look at the Indian players they look quite set and slightly missing somewhere due to the absence of Rohit Sharma and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar; both the players are ruled out of the series due to injuries. Selectors have picked 15 players squad for the ODI series and it has replacement players for Rohit Sharma and Middle order. Bowling unit is quite short and usual as there are 3 spinners and 4 pace options for the team.
There are chances of giving rest to Bumrah and Shami for the ODI series but there’s no official announcement yet by the BCCI and team management. And as there is less bowling options it will be difficult for team to defend the scores on field seeing the batting strength of opponents.
Australian Team is back with their super players against India. David Warner and Steven Smith will play against India in bilateral series after a long gap as both missed last year’s tour with India due to temporary ban. Under the captaincy of Aaron Finch team is settled with proper all-rounder and bowling options to defend the strong batting side of the India.
Earlier Andrew Tye replaced Richardson for the ODI and T20 series in this 18 players squad they have more than 8 pace options and 3-4 spin options. Team consists only 5 complete batsmen including 2 wicket-keepers and 7 all-rounders.
