Today, actress Deepika Padukone has declared her exit from MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image). She was the chairperson of MAMI for almost more than 2 years. The actress declared this on Instagram by posting a note.

The actress posted an image of the note which reads-

“Being on the board of MAMI and serving as Chairperson has been a deeply enriching experience. As an artist, it was invigorating to bring together cinema and talent from all over the world to Mumbai, my second home.

I have come to realise however, that with my current slate of work, I will be unable to give MAMI the undivided focus and attention it requires.

I depart knowing that MAMI is in the best hands possible and that my bond and connection with the academy is one that will last a lifetime.”

In 2019, Deepika replaced filmmaker Kiran Rao as the MAMI chairperson.

The actress has a lot many projects lined up. Her film 83 is up for release. Moreover she will also be seen in Shakun Batra’s domestic noir also stars her with Ananya Pandey and Siddhanth Chaturvedi.

She is working on Pathan, Fighter and also Prabhas’s upcoming film.

Apart from that, She’ll also be acting alongside in the hindi remake of ‘The Intern’. The film will be a remake of Nancy Meyer’s Hollywood hit which had the same name.
