Industry analysts predict a lack of major blockbusters in April, with the summer offering some hope with releases like Inside Out 2 and Deadpool 3. However, the Christmas lineup appears sparse.

Tim Richards of Vue cinema chain forecasts a challenging year, with global box office sales expected to dip. Despite this, Disney and Universal plan releases, banking on quality over quantity.

Some, like IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond, remain optimistic, citing potential hits like Deadpool & Wolverine and Despicable Me 4. European theatres hope to offset losses with local productions.

While 2024 may be challenging, industry players anticipate a promising 2025 as delayed films hit theatres and streaming platforms increase their commitment to theatrical releases.
