Kung Fu Panda 4 becomes the highest-grossing animation film for Universal Pictures in India

The fourth installment of the beloved Kung Fu Panda franchise, Kung Fu Panda 4, hit the screens in India on March 15 to an enthusiastic response from audiences of all ages. The film opened to an outstanding Rs. 13.65Crs and has since amassed a total of Rs. 32.50Crs in earnings.

Kung Fu Panda 4 has solidified its place as the highest-grossing animation film under Universal Pictures India, quickly rising to become the second highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2024 in India within just two weeks. It has also claimed the title of the fourth highest-grossing animation film of all time in India. This achievement is hardly surprising, given the immense anticipation surrounding the fourth installment and the franchise's popularity in the country. The film continues to see great footfall in theaters and is running in  English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Directed by Mike Mitchell and co-directed by Stephanie Ma Stine, this DreamWorks Animation production is distributed by Universal Pictures (Warner Bros Discovery in India).
