The Tollywood film Jathi Ratnalu starring Naveen Polisetty, Priydarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna came in as a stress buster to the people out there, complete fun and laugh package filled in the movie that went on to break several records even in this time of the covid pandemic. As it was unexpected to the filmmakers that it will make this big and it is so special.
And when such a south film makes it big next comes in the thought of a Bollywood remake, for the same Naveen Polisetty went to recommend Sajid Nadiadwala to watch the film if they can remake it in Hindi. To those unaware, Naveen and Sajid worked together in Chhichhore, a source from Hyderabad said, “Sajid watched the film and even loved it. He praised Naveen’s work and was happy that he delivered such a huge blockbuster. However, Sajid was of the opinion that the subject didn’t have the appeal to be remade in Hindi.”
And further added, “Being a lover of Southern content, Sajid laughed every minute through the film, but he felt the one-liners and premise had a local feel to it, and it would be difficult to adapt it in Hindi. Hence, he decided to not buy the rights. Other producers from Bollywood have, however, shown keen interest in remaking the film, and the talks are on at the moment.”
But it feels strange because when a leading entertainment portal contacted Sajid Nadiadwala he denied the story and said, “I haven’t watched the film, Jathi Ratnalu.”
And it is yet to see that who will picks up Jathi Ratnalu’s rights or else it will left to be just a Tollywood film.
