Remember that heart-wrenching video from Muzaffarpur railway station? Don’t worry, we will show you what we are referring to –
The child is trying to wake up the mother who died of hunger & dehydration in the train. These visuals are of Muzaffarpur Station in Bihar and they were coming from Gujarat.— Gaurav Pandhi (@GauravPandhi) May 27, 2020
These are institutional deaths, @PiyushGoyal and you & your Govt is to be blamed. Shame on you people! pic.twitter.com/vZZWPifFRK
This baby was repeatedly trying to wake up his dead mother. The unfortunate 23-year-old woman passed away due extreme heat, hunger and dehydration. She was undertaking a journey on a Shramik train from Ahemdabad to Gujarat with her two kids, sister and the sister’s husband.
Needless to say, such a painful video went viral on social media. In fact, it brought a whole nation to its knees. Apart from being ravaged by the COVID-19 disease, India migrant crisis has broken all borders of mental and physical endurance. The public has reached its boiling point.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation has decided to come forth with support for her two children.
Shahrukh Khan tweeted,”Thank you all for getting us in touch with the little one. We all pray he finds the strength to deal with the most unfortunate loss of a parent. I know how it feels…Our love and support is with you baby.“
Here is the concerned tweet –
