Radhika Apte has stunned everyone with her magical performance in every movie. She has nailed every other role in the movies and the actress does a lot of hard-work to fit into the character. However, now Radhika has taken up direction too. The actress released her directorial debut ‘The Sleepwalkers’ trailer in the lockdown at Palms Spring International Film Festival which won the best midnight short award.
In an interview with a leading publications, the actor shared, ” I had never thought of making films. There was no such plan. I just had the urge to write because sometimes you want to create content that challenges you. Roles that come your way are not necessarily from the space that you want them to come from. I just wanted to write something that interested me. There are things that I passionately want to do. When I bounced off the story to Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey, they decided to make it. I had 10 days for the prep and shoot. When I finished writing, I realised I didn’t want to act in it, but I wanted to direct it. And, I absolutely loved the process.”
Radhika continues to climb the ladder of success with her directorial debut and is all set to learn more about the process of film-making. With her talent and passion she have made everyone in awe of her performance. Fans of the actress cannot wait to witness the magic Radhika has created, this time being behind the lens. The trailer of the short film has received much positive feedback and appreciation from the audience.
Radhika was last seen in ‘Ok Computer’ opposite to Vijay Varma and this was the first time both shared the screen. Her performance in the movie was very appreciated. She will be next seen in Mrs Undercover playing the role of a housewife who turns Undercover agent.
