GOT7 Members Ended Their Journey With JYPE, Here Are The Further Plans Of Each Member

JYP Entertainment has released their official statement confirming all seven members of GOT7 will not be renewing their contracts with the agency and will move forward with their careers elsewhere.

In the statement it has written:

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

We held in depth discussions with the members ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract on January 19.

As a result of the discussions, both the company and the members have agreed not to renew a contract, instead wishing for a new future.

GOT7 has been a global idol group representing K-Pop for the last 7 years since they debuted on January 16, 2014.

GOT7 has been together through the growth of both K-Pop and JYP Entertainment, and we would like to thank the fans, iGOT7’s, who have been the driving force behind GOT7’s promotions with the generous support they have shown since their debut.

Although our relationship with GOT7 is over, JYP Entertainment will sincerely support the new future each member of GOT7 will move on to.”

According to media reports, group GOT7, who debuted under JYP in 2014, has recently ended their contract with JYP Entertainment after seven years.

The 2021 Golden Disc Awards was their last activities as part of JYP.

Mark made a post on Twitter and written that all of the members are starting the second chapter of their lives now, they are still going to stay together until the end.

According to a report from Dispatch, every member has a plan to start their new journey.

According to the report, Jinyoung is currently looking forward to his contract with BH Entertainment.

Yugyeom to join hip-hop label AOMG. This is also the label that is run by Jay Park, a former member of JYP’s group 2PM. 

Youngjae to join Sublime Artist houses actor Song Kang Ho, singer Rain, Hani, and more.

JB received offers from various hip-hop labels and global recording companies. He plans to choose a company that will give him full support for his solo artist career.

Jackson will continue to stay with Team Wang and promote in both Korea and China.

BamBam will be promoting Thailand and Korea. He plans to sign with  Makeus Entertainment.

Mark is planning to return to the U.S to spend time with his family in L.A for time being and to plans to open his own YouTube channel for his solo music.
