Delhi Vintage Co., known for its commitment to revitalizing traditional weaving techniques and craftsmanship, meticulously created this exquisite ensemble inspired by the theme of The Tree of Life. The lehenga was designed to be culturally rich yet modern, capturing timeless elegance with a contemporary twist.
The intricate design depicted the Tree of Life, embellished with Nandis below, a temple on one side, and scattered birds, symbolizing harmony and equilibrium. The journey to create this masterpiece was an artistic exploration. After multiple rounds of experimenting with various stitching techniques and artistic elements, the designers selected a fabric with a vintage feel. This fabric was then brought to life with intricate zardozi work, adorned with antique coins and vintage embellishments, infusing layers of history and heritage into the modern silhouette.
The lehenga's hem featured a specific verse from the Bhagavad Gita, "Karmanye Vadhikaraste, Ma phaleshu kada chana," which translates to, "You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the results of the actions." This profound message brought a spiritual dimension to the attire, enriching its cultural importance.
