Many ordinary peoples and celebs are lending their hands in a covid pandemic for the several people affected in such critical condition to supply oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, providing food, shelter, etc. The latest celeb to distribute his part in the second wave of the virus is Farhan Akhtar.
The actor who last year distributed 1000 PPE kits for the Healthcare workers of government hospitals. In the recent last December, Farhan made a generous donation for a local priest and his family in Varanasi to have a proper shelter.
Now, as the country is battling its second wave of the coronavirus Bhaag Milka Bhaag has now joined hands with a non-profit organization, Hope For Welfare Trust who will feed patients and caregivers in distress.
Secretary of the NGO, Divyanshu Upadhyay shares that these donations are not only helping the infected patient but it is also going for the people working at Harishchandra and Manikarnika shamshan ghats in Varanasi. He says, “Eight of us from the Hope team have been distributing 1000 thalis every day in the city. Each thali has rice, dal, roti, sabzi, salad, and biscuits. If we distribute lunch to the hospitals during the day, at night, we focus on the cremation grounds. Farhan sir has always stood by us in our times of need, and we are grateful for his contribution this time.”
The secretary further also shared that he reached out to the actor via social media and he immediately step forward and responded to his help and the NGO continues to do Covid- relief work, helping patients find oxygen cylinders, arranging medicines and other medical necessities in these times.
