Director Sam Hargrave has revealed that the ‘Extraction’ sequel will begin filming this autumn as long as shooting is possible due to the coronavirus crisis. Extraction starred Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a mercenary and former army veteran who is tasked with traveling to Bangladesh to protect the son of a crime lord from his father’s rival. The film is based on the graphic novel Ciudad, which was co-written by Anthony and Joe Russo with Ande Parks, and illustrated by Fernando León González. The movie was a massive hit with viewers, particularly for its intense 12-minute action sequence that was filmed to look like a single, uncut shot.
A few weeks after the original movie’s release, a sequel was announced, with Joe Russo’s script. Fans are excited to know whether the movie will see Hemsworth’s character take on a new mission or continue the storyline from the first film.
To the fans surprise the filming is going to start this fall, Extraction 2 will probably not see a release until 2022. The Extraction fans are all set to watch their favourites back in the fierce aavtar.
