Rumors might be rife that Karan Johar’s rehashing some parts of Takht and its starcast, however, none of it is true!
It is true that Abhishek Varman’s Kalank, backed by Karan Johar‘s home banner, has faced a major disappointment at the Box Office, even with a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. However, rumors are rife that post this debacle of Kalank, Takht which will be solely directed by Karan Johar himself, is also facing some rehashing and changes.
According to a report in CineBlitz, “Kalank’s shortcomings have been identified and Karan Johar is working double hard to make Takht a massive hit. He is going to make it simpler, in terms of dialogues and actions. Some people could not resonate with a complex writing and he wants the film to resonate with the audience, like Jodha Akbar did. So, he might use the same formula for the dialogues of the movie.”
Well, Popdiaries has EXCLUSIVELY got confirmation from a representative closely associated with the production house and the film, that any change isn’t being taken into consideration. The flow and script of the movie is still the same, and we’re yet to get any specific deets on the characters or the storyline of this interesting period drama venture. As for being another stellar ensemble star-cast film, Karan Johar is very sure and confident of all his stars in the film.
Takht will soon go on floors, set during the Mughal era, when Aurangzeb was ruling in India. The film slated to release in 2020, also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
