The inspirational star, Aparshakti Khurana must be on the ninth cloud because the actor is making his OTT debut with Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Stardust’.
The show is fictional and gives the nostalgia of 1947 to 1989, the film industry era.
We roped in the excited actor to talk about his digital debut.
Aparshakti’s career journey has been inspirational from RJ to now the protagonist of the film, so, asking about the same the actor said, “I feel when step by step things happen you feel happy about your journey, you feel happy about your professional growth and little achievements. And I can not complain, I think all the good things in my life happened step by step and satisfied with the kind of things worked out and enjoying it.”
“As since the past one year we have not been able to go out and watch films and OTT have become even more relevant and the content we are watching on OTT has been extremely organic and very good film making and storytellers come. So, I think as an artist it was the right time to be a part of this world and who better than Vikramaditya Motwane and Amazon Prime to collaborate with. And looking forward to all the personal professional growth which I will see in the next 1 year”, the actor made a statement on his digital debut.
Stardust gives nostalgia of the 50s so we asked Aparshakti what fresh audience can witness and he went on to say that, “Audience can see a new world of the ’50s. How film making initiated in India and how rivalries were happening. Of course, it has been fictionalised it is not a real-life story. It has not based on a particular story. But people will see how film making started in India. And also we are focusing on the fashion of that era. From those hats to moustache. So, I think people will see a different world.”
Furthermore, we tried to digged up the reason behind accepting Stardust as an OTT debut, so Khurana quoted, “I think the name Vikramaditya Motwane is enough to take that call and I think not a lot of people have been able to get the vibe of OTT. I think Vikram sir is extremely relevant on the film and web show front as well. He is probably the only director who has been able to manage the balance between both the world. And I think his last two films ‘Trapped’ and ‘AK vs AK’ are so relevant and hard-hitting. He has been able to be a part of both the world in the most organic way possible. And I feel so blessed to be part of his team and to working with him. And I am sure that I will turn into the better actor.”
