The most popular actress in south India, Nayanthara; her real name is Diana Mariam Kurian originally belongs to a Malayali Syrian Christian family. She was raised as a Syrian Christian but born to Malayali parents placed in Bangalore.

Besides being a successful actress in films Nayanthara is a princess of a glorious kingdom as well. Nayanthara and her Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director Vignesh Shivan had declared that they are in love. The two lovers went further to get married in the year 2022. Their wedding was planned to happen at Tirupati temple, but because of some issues it was then moved to the Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa, at Mahabalipuram.

Their wedding ceremony was also planned by Shaadi Squad which is also involved with celebrity weddings like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal.

Now, Nayanthara, for the first time has opened up about her wedding with Vignesh Shivan in her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.

Nayanthara also shared her wish to have a Hindu wedding after converting from Christianity to Hinduism. She said, "Because I am a born Christian, my mom always wanted to see me in that Christian attire – the wedding gown kind of a thing. But, since I have become a Hindu, and we have to do a Hindu wedding, I just thought it should be like a beautiful mix of both a Hindu and a Christian wedding. So we kept it a Hindu wedding with an English touch."
