As the much-anticipated film Kanguva gears up for its grand release, actor Suriya and the film’s producer have shared their thoughts at a recent press conference on the emotional journey behind the project, highlighting their dedication and optimism.
Suriya, who plays the lead role in the film, spoke about the calm before the storm as the team braces for the release. In a candid reflection at a press conference, he said, “I think a calm before this storm, trying to be as calm as possible and giving all positivity, just manifesting in. I just want everybody associated with this film to be really, really happy and proud. It's just that in Tamil Nadu, we make another person happy. That’s what true happiness is. I’m really hoping that happens with the film.” Suriya emphasized that every film is like a baby to its creators, and the entire team has poured their heart and soul into Kanguva. “For this film also, we have given a lot of love and hoping the 14th will be a celebration for all of us.”
The producer of Kanguva, K. E. Gnanavel Raja also expressed immense dedication, revealing the toll the filmmaking process has taken on him and the director. In a light-hearted yet sincere comment, the producer shared, “Director Siva sir didn’t sleep for the last 90 days, and I didn’t sleep for the last 30 days. So I think after seeing the result and seeing the audience's excitement, I think we should take good rest.”
‘Kanguva’ is the biggest and most expensive film of this year and is set to release on November 14, 2024. With an estimated budget of over 350 crore, it's bigger than the likes of Pushpa, Singham, and several other big films. Moreover, the film has been shot across seven different countries on various continents of India. The makers had a very specific look in mind, as this is a very unique film showing the prehistoric period. The makers hired experts from Hollywood for the technical departments like action and cinematography. The film has one of the biggest war sequences, featuring over 10,000 people. Studio Green has signed up with top distribution houses to release the film on a massive scale across the globe.
