On February 3, Netflix introduced a series of star-studded films and TV shows in India, aiming to enhance its content lineup as it faces increasing competition in the country’s growing streaming market.As part of its 2025 content plan, Netflix India unveiled 25 titles, featuring a mix of new releases and returning seasons of popular shows. The lineup includes six films, 14 series, and five unscripted projects, covering a wide range of genres like drama, romantic comedies, action, and thrillers.
One of the standout announcements is a Bollywood-inspired series, created and directed by Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. The series is a collaboration with Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, which joined forces with Netflix in November 2024.
The series, titled The Ba***ds of Bollywood, will be produced by Gauri Khan. The series will blend self-aware humor with a high-stakes narrative about an ambitious outsider and his friends navigating the larger-than-life yet uncertain world of Bollywood, featuring several celebrity cameos, the company said.
Jewel Thief- The Heist Begins, a gripping drama directed by Siddharth Anand, features prominent actors Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat in leading roles. In another exciting project, Nadaaniyan will showcase the acting debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s son, alongside Khushi Kapoor in a key role.
Dining With The Kapoors, an unscripted series directed by Smriti Mundhra, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Bollywood's Kapoor family, featuring Randhir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor, exploring their love for food and cinema.
