Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary in the Netflix Original Wednesday was a phenomenon that shook the world, but that was just a song, so now imagine her in the flesh. As Jeena Ortega gets ready to take us back to the school of monsters, reports suggest Mother Monster herself will be starring in a role this season.
Reports from within Netflix suggest that Gaga would appear in the show as a brand new character, but no detail about the role is yet known. But this is something which was a long time in the making. Gaga is known as Mother Monster for a reason since she started out as a dark pop artist and is going back to her roots with her upcoming seventh solo album, and the single Disease is a prove of that.
Even the star of Wednesday, Jenna Ortega, wanted Lady Gaga to enter the show, and she went on to make a storyline for her. At Golden Globes in 2023, she said, "I'm sure Netflix would love that, and I think Mrs Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think it would have to be two monsters that understand each other."
According to sources, she is currently filming for the series in Europe. She would be a great addition to the series alongside Jenna. This won’t be Gaga’s first appearance in a dark genre like this since she has previously starred in House of Gucci, Joker: Folie à Deux, and on season 5 of American Horror Story, for which she won a Golden Globe.
Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, is a Netflix Original that revolves around Wednesday Addams and her journey in a School of monsters called Nevermore Academy.
