Girls Will Be Girls is First Baby of Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal

Today, the Sundance Award-winning film Girls Will Be Girls, produced by actor-turned-producers Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, premiered its trailer at Sunny Super Sound. The premiere was packed with surprises and graced by the film cast.

This is the film produced by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal under the banner of Pushing Buttons Studios, which tells the tale of a mother and daughter who share a coming-of-age moment in life. While Richa Chadha explained that the film is a sweet romance story, the trailer seems to be hinting at a thriller angle to it. The trailer also showcases that the film talks about the topic of women's intimacy and pleasure.

If there was someone who enjoyed the most during the premiere, it was Richa Chadha, that kept the crowd engaged during some technical difficulties. She kept cracking jokes to keep their crowd entertained. She, with Ali Fazal, explained their journey of making this film and claimed it to be their first baby. During the question and answer session, the lead cast, Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiron revealed their journey of how they were cast for the film. 

The film has been screened at multiple film festivals and is a part of one of the best independent films to come out this year. Recently, the film was screened at the MAMI Film Festival, after which it is set to be released on Amazon Prime on December 18.
