Cillian Murphy Back as Tommy Shelby: 'Peaky Blinders' starts production

Cillian Murphy returns as fan-favorite gangster Tommy Shelby in the upcoming 'Peaky Blinders' movie, which began production today.

Netflix has officially announced the start of production for the upcoming Peaky Blinders film. In an Instagram post, they shared, "By order of the Peaky Blinders... Tommy Shelby is back. Cillian Murphy and Steven Knight are reunited on set."

Cillian Murphy's role as Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders received all the love throughout its six seasons. The series tells the story of the Shelby crime family's rise to power, led by the tough and charismatic Tommy. 

Steven Knight, the creator and writer of the original series, is leading the Peaky Blinders film, maintaining its distinct vision and storytelling style. According to reports, Barry Keoghan has also joined the cast, though his role is still unknown while Rebecca Ferguson, known for her work in Dune is also involved.

The Peaky Blinders film marks the next chapter in one of the most loved British dramas of recent years. With the TV series now complete, fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming movie to see the continuation of the Peaky Blinders story.
