The current week’s Friday Night Smackdown ended on a higher note with a big announcement that would force the WWE fans to tune in for the show next week. Edge will be competing on Smackdown for the first time in 11 years.

During the contract signing between the Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, the latter was seen insulting Jey Uso for beating him in a steel cage match last week. Those insults angered Uso and he demanded to become the special enforcer for the Universal Championship match between Bryan and Reigns at WWE Fastlane 2021.

The WWE Hall Of Famer, Edge came out and challenged Jey Uso for a match next week on Smackdown, the winner of the match will become the guest enforcer for the Universal Championship match at WWE Fastlane. Adam Pearce who was present in the ring during the contract signing agreed to it and made the match official. The four wrestlers started brawling in the centre of the ring, Bryan threw Uso out of the ring while Edge attacked Reigns, Bryan was the only one standing tall at the end of the show after he hit Edge with a Running Knee.
