Dudhsagar Falls literally translates to “sea of milk” owing to its milky white color. Amidst the Mollem National Park or rather the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary you will find the majestic and stunningly flowing Dudhsagar Falls. A spectacular view for the domestic and foreign tourists is the Mandovi River spouting down from the steep side of the mountain from over 1017 feet. The Mandovi River originates on the Deccan Plateau in Karnataka and finds its way through the Western Ghats.
Dudhsagar Waterfalls has opened after months of being shut due to the COVID-19 outbreak. People in Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka are trying to make the most of it. In fact, several adventure organisations have booked trekking to waterfalls in the weekend, and the jeep safaris to the falls are also expected to start very soon.
While trekkers could not visit the falls in the first half of the year, with revised travel rules and fewer restrictions, trekking will now be possible. Trekking to Dudhsagar waterfalls and jungle treks to Tamdi Surla waterfalls are now on which will go on till October 1st week. As per the government rules, the packages can be halted once the jeep safari begins from October.
