The Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet starrer De De Pyaar De is refusing to stop as it crosses the Kartik Aaryan, Kirti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi and Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika to become the 5th highest grossing film of 2019.
De De Pyaar De may have started slow but has gained the speed and is refusing to slow down. The romantic drama faced three major films – India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi and Aladdin last week but still held well in its second week. There were multiple releases including the Hollywood big wig Godzilla 2 last week but the still the romantic drama held its ground on third Friday. De De Pyaar De dropped to show a strong support on third Monday and Tuesday.
Luv Ranjan produced De De Pyaar De starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Rakul Preet, Alok Nath and Javed Jaffrey in key roles which ended its first week collection with a good Rs 61.05 crores. Due to the release of India’s Most Wanted, PM Narendra Modi and Aladdin, the romantic-drama dropped in second week but remained the first choice of the audience with Rs 23.44 crores.
The collections showed a good hold on third Friday with Rs 1.96 crores followed by Rs 2.82 crores on Saturday and Rs 3.81 crores on Sunday. The collections remained stable on 3rd Monday with Rs 1.42 followed by another solid hold on 3rd Tuesday with Rs 1.30 crores, bringing the total to Rs 95.80 crores. With this grand total, the romantic drama has crossed the lifetime collections of Kartik Aaryan and Kirti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi (Rs 94.75 crores) and Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika (Rs 95.17 crores) to become the 5th highest grossing film of 2019. De De Pyaar De faces the Salman Khan starrer Bharat this Wednesday. The romantic drama still has the chance to crack 100 crores milestone.
De De Pyaar De is made on a budget of Rs 75 crores (Production Cost: 60 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 15 Crore) and is directed by Akiv Ali. The romantic drama is already in profits and it is yet to be seen if it can cross 100 crores.
