On Friday, several schools in East Delhi and Noida received bomb threats via email, leading to swift security actions. In response, school authorities focused on ensuring student safety and decided to temporarily shut down the institutions.
A message sent to parents read: "In light of an email threat received this morning, we are forced to close the school today to ensure the safety of our students. We are in contact with the relevant authorities for further guidance and clearance."
"Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 informed SHO-Pandav Nagar telephonically that an email was received to the principal of Ahlcon International School today regarding a bomb threat at the school. Delhi Police also informed that a bomb threat was received by Delhi University's St. Stephen's College and The bomb disposal squad of the East district along with SHO Pandav Nagar and PS staff, reached the school. The school premises were checked. Nothing abnormal was found," said Delhi Police.
