On Friday, several schools in East Delhi and Noida received bomb threats via email, leading to swift security actions. In response, school authorities focused on ensuring student safety and decided to temporarily shut down the institutions.

A message sent to parents read: "In light of an email threat received this morning, we are forced to close the school today to ensure the safety of our students. We are in contact with the relevant authorities for further guidance and clearance."

"Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 informed SHO-Pandav Nagar telephonically that an email was received to the principal of Ahlcon International School today regarding a bomb threat at the school. Delhi Police also informed that a bomb threat was received by Delhi University's St. Stephen's College and The bomb disposal squad of the East district along with SHO Pandav Nagar and PS staff, reached the school. The school premises were checked. Nothing abnormal was found," said Delhi Police.

Delhi Police and cybercrime units launched an investigation following bomb threats, implementing Standard Operating Procedures and conducting security checks at the affected schools. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm as they assess the situation.

Earlier, Delhi Police cracked down on a series of hoax bomb threats sent to over 400 schools across the national capital, arresting a juvenile responsible for the menacing emails, officials said. The accused, a public school student, was identified and apprehended after a thorough technical investigation by the Cyber Cell of the South District police.
The police recovered a laptop and two mobile phones from the accused, which were subjected to forensic analysis. The digital evidence revealed the accused's involvement in sending threatening emails to numerous schools in Delhi.
