1st Test, Day 2: Yashasvi Jaiswal & Rohit Sharma Smashes Hundreds; India Dominates WI

On the day 2 of the first test Indian team is dominating West Indies with their staggering batting performance. Yashasvi Jaiswal & Rohit Sharma smashes hundreds as West Indies bowling attack struggles to trap the Indian openers through the second session of the second day.

After batting collapse of West Indies on day 1 Indian team started their inning on positive note with debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal & captain Rohit Sharma scoring 80 runs till end of the day 1.

Starting with the second day both the batters took on the Windies bowling attack heavily with their skills. Both the openers completed their hundreds and put a double hundred partnership on the board for the first wicket which came after very long time for India.

Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his domestic form on international level while Rohit Sharma slammed the trolls with his 10^th Test century. Jaiswal became 3^rd player to score test century on the debut for India after Dhawan & Prithvi Shaw.

By the end of the second session on day 2, India lost 2 wickets on 245 runs. Rohit Sharma got caught behind the wicket by the debutant Alick Athanaze while Gill who wanted to play on the third spot for India couldn’t surprise much and scored only 6 runs. Though India lost two wickets in quick succession the team is in driving seat with the lead of 95 runs and 8 wickets in hand.
