Each edition of IPL brings higher level of drama & anticipation, this year the two legends in the tournament are going to face each other today to decide who will go ahead for the knockouts, it will be either Dhoni or Kohli! 

To be honest, both the players and their teams have equal valid reasons to qualify for the playoffs as there are speculations that it could be Dhoni's last IPL whileKohli & co. is eyeing for their first title win. Both the teams are one of the tough teams in the league who would not easily lose this chance to get into the top four. 

On the other hand, if rain comes into the play, CSK would actually don't mind it as it's pretty simple for them to qualify for the playoffs, they either have to win the match, hope for washout or even a defeat with a close margin; and CSK will make into the top four. While forRCB, rain will end their chances.

A simple win wont help much to Bengaluru they will have to keep NRR in the mind. The equation for RCB to surpass Chennai is to either win the match by 18 runs or chase a target in 18.1 overs. A washout or rain disruption would change these numbers. 

As for team updates, Chennai would definitely miss their fire guns, Pathirana, Chahar and Mustafizur, fhree bowlers who did well for the team throughout the season but are unavailable to give services in this crucial match. While, RCB too will miss their recent star, Will jacks and R Topley as they have left the camp for international duties.
