The race to IPL 2024 playoffs is getting tough with each day & each match. Now that Mumbai Indians, Gujrat Titans & Punjab Kings are officially out of the league, even Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants are not close to get into top 4 with just 0.7% & 0.4% chance which is highly impossible. On the other hand three teams are competiting now for the 3rd and 4th spot, Chennai Super Kings at number 3 position in the points table, Sunrisers Hyderabad on number 4 followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru at 5.
Though Chennai is up in the table they still have lesser chances than Sunrisers Hyderabad, as Hyderabad got two more matches left to play while CSK has only one that too against RCB, the match will be a knockout match for both the teams as if RCB wants to qualify for the playoffs they don't just have to snatch those two points from CSK but also improve their NRR. They will either have to chase down the score in 18.1 overs or have to win by atleast margin of 18 runs, if they succeed in doing so RCB can easily get into top four surpassing CSK & SRH. With this formula RCB still has 39.3% chance.

SRH on the other hand have comfortable position with two more matches to play against Gujrat Titans & table toppers Kolkata Knight Riders, if they win both the matches then SRH will seat comfortably in the top fours but if they lose these two matches there are chances of both CSK and RCB to get qualify for the playoffs doesn't matter who win the knockout match between them.
Kolkata Knight Riders & Rajasthan Royals are two qualified teams till now sitting top two positions. Qualifire matches will start from 21 May, while the final will be played on 26th May at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
