Team India & England are set to kickstart 3 Match-ODI series starting Today At Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. Rohit Sharma led team India is going to start their ODI season on a banger note just before the Champions Trophy 2025. Here's the playing XI of both the teams for the first ODI.

England has already announced their playing XI, Jamie Smith, Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson and Jamie Overton will be sitting out this game. This means England will have three pace and three spin options & Joe Root as additional spin alternative. Root is making comeback in the ODI team after 2023 World Cup and will be playing his first ODI after nearly 2 years.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana are making their India ODI debuts today. The cap presentation event is done. Indian team even though looks quite set but has many loopholes especially in the bowling lineup as Bumrah misses out from the combination and Shami is also making his comeback in the team after long injury break. Selectors have added a unique addition of Varun Chakaravarthy in the team owing to the spin conditions in the home soil but it will be interesting to know how the bowling combination works for the team.
