India has so far over 30 lakh COVID cases with nearly 56,700 deaths and 22.8 lakh recovered and discharged.
There were speculations about the Covid-19 vaccine to which Serum Institute Of India has clarified and denied the reports of a vaccine shot launching in 73 days. However, they have said that the government has granted permission to manufacture and stock the Covid shield. Serum Institute with AstraZeneca is producing Oxford University vaccine candidate. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a statement on Metro services. He revealed Delhi metro should resume in a phased manner and on a trial basis.
Currently, Delhi has around 1.61 lakh COVID cases. Delhi government claims of conducting 14 lakh tests for Covid-19 so far. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said the Covid-19 vaccine may be available by year-end. For now, there are three potential vaccine candidates in the clinical trial. One of the three Covid-19 vaccine candidates is in the third stage of the clinical trial.
Also, there are new SOPs for Films and TV shoots amidst the COVID era. As per new guidelines, face covers for cast and crew is mandatory with maintaining social distance.
Further, the World Health Organization has mentioned its stance on children’s wearing masks. WHO has clarified that children with the age of 12 and above should wear masks like adults. Whereas children between the age of six-11 shall wear masks on a risk-based approach. Children between the age of five and under should not wear a mask.
