"Ranveer Allahbadia Face Police Inquiry After Controversial Joke on Samay Raina's show ‘India’s Got Latent’"

On Tuesday, the Mumbai police announced that they had reached out to podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia and YouTuber Samay Raina, summoning them for an inquiry regarding Allahbadia’s controversial joke made during the ‘India’s Got Latent’ show, which was hosted by Raina.

Ranveer Allahbadia, known for his BeerBiceps channel, made the comments during a recent episode in which he appeared as a guest alongside fellow popular content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija in which he asked a contestent "“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join them to finish it once and for all?" While the comment sparked cheers and laughter from the panel Including host Samay Raina, the comment received laughter from the panel, but it left viewers outraged. Many criticized it as offensive and inappropriate, sparking a wave of backlash online.

The controversy has quickly gained attraction on social media, with users criticizing Ranveer's comments and creating memes that mock the situation. Some memes humorously contrasted his behavior with his typical motivational persona on BeerBiceps, while others called for stricter regulations on online shows like India's Got Latent, arguing that the lack of boundaries under the guise of humor is becoming an issue.

Due to this Ranveer drops aa aplogy Video on X (formerly Twitter) sated  "I personally had a lapse in judgement. I wasn't cool on my part. The podcast was watched by people of all ages. Don't want to be the kind of person that takes responsibility lightly and family is the last thing I would ever disrespect."

He further added "Need to use this platform better. That's been my learning from this whole experience. I promise to just get better. Have asked the makers of the video to remove the insensitive sections from the video."
