Taylor Swift Fans Ship Travis Kelce After Unearthing Hilariously Unproblematic Old Tweets

Tapping into the world of celebrity gossip and shared content can be an entertaining escape. Fans of pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce have recently been having some online fun, and it’s all thanks to some old tweets. 

As an avid and vociferous fan of Swift, Kelce has been unabashedly extolling her music and other musings for some time now. On October 30, 2019, Kelce even made a video of him singing his favorite Swift hit, “Lover.” And the internet was more than a little amused. In the tweets, Kelce enthusiastically professed his love of Swift’s music, referring to her as “Queen Taylor.” Fans quickly started “shipping” Kelce and Swift as a couple, joking about the “unproblematic” tweets and making other humorous memes. 

Twitter users commented on Kelce’s tweets from five years ago, some suggesting that he got a Twitter account just to follow Swift and profess his appreciation for her work, even though he already has one. Others posted about how they believed every “ship” should feature a couple as committed as Kelce and Swift.
