Kangana Ranaut in Tejas
Kangana Ranaut has evolved into one of the brilliant actress in India. Right from her debut film, she has shown the potential and has always managed to prove her naysayers wrongs. Three times National Award winning actress has always gone one step when it comes to her performance. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the brilliant actress will be donning the role of Indian Air Force pilot. The role will be similar to the character of Gunjan Saxena, the first woman fighter pilots who was commissioned into the Indian Air Force. Probably being one of the most boldest actresses in Bollywood today, Kangana Ranaut has all the skills to play this role perfectly. The shooting of Tejas will commence in few months.
Janhvi Kapoor in Gunjan Saxena
Janhvi Kapoor will making her second film special as she will be playing the real-life hero Gunjan Saxena who along with Srividya Rajan became the first Indian women to go into a combat when they flew helicopter, Cheetah, to evacuate the injured Indian Army soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999. Produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studio, Gunjan Saxena will be directed by Sharan Sharma and will also feature Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in the lead roles. The film is slated to release on 24th April, 2020.
Varun Dhawan in Ekkis
Sriram Raghavan has come a long way in Bollywood right from the brilliantly made Johnny Gaddar, revenge thrillers like Badlapur and Ek Haseena Thi to the riveting AndhaDhun. After a super-success of crime-thriller Andhadhun, Sriram Raghavan has already stared working on his next script which will be a biopic on Arun Khetarpal, a brave soldier who sacrificed his life in the Battle of Basantar, where he fought against Pakistani army till the end, not leaving his army tank. Sriram Raghavan has roped in Varun Dhawan after their first hit film, Badlapur, who will play the title role. The biopic will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Sidharth Malhotra in Shershaah
When ever there is a war, natural calamity or a terrorist attack, the first people to come out and protect is Indian Army, who selflessly support us with their act of bravery. To honor the soldiers who have laid down their lives to serve the country, there are few movies being made to tell the stories of gallantry. One of such movies is the Vikram Batra biopic drama, Shershaah, which will star Sidharth Malhotra. Sidharth Malhotra had already started preparing for his role to play Vikram Batra, who was an officer of Indian Army. For our viewers, Vikram Batra led a very difficult operation in Kargil War against Pakistan and even managed to kill three enemy soldiers in hand-to-hand combat. Kiara Advani has been roped in to the play the love interest in the film which will be backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will be directed by Vishnu Vardhan.
Vicky Kaushal – Sam Manekshaw Biopic
After URI-The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal will be donning the role of the army officer as Sam Manekshaw, who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The biopic will be directed by Meghna Gulzar and will mark the second collaboration of Vicky Kaushal with the director after Raazi and also Ronnie Screwala, whom he collaborated in URI.
