In a momentous event coinciding with Bastille Day, BTS member Jin proudly carried the Olympic flame through Paris as the first torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This historic moment unfolded at the iconic Louvre Museum, where Jin represented the Republic of Korea.
Departing from Seoul on July 11, Jin arrived in Paris to participate in the prestigious torch relay, joining a distinguished line of previous torchbearers, including Muhammad Ali for the 1996 Atlanta Games and David Beckham for the 2012 London Games.

The flame, first lit in Olympia, Greece on April 16, 2024, is set to reach Paris on July 26 for the grand opening of the Olympics.

Around 10,000 torchbearers, including Jin, will traverse 400 cities in France and some overseas regions, ensuring the flame’s journey is marked by global unity and sportsmanship.
