On March 29, BTS's J-Hope delighted fans with the release of his new album, HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, featuring six new tracks and collaborations with artists like Jungkook, LE SSERAFIM's Yunjin, and Benny Blanco. Despite J-Hope's ongoing military enlistment, fans eagerly embraced the new music.
However, excitement turned to frustration as BIGHIT MUSIC, the label representing BTS, faced criticism for their promotional missteps. A listening party for the album was marred by errors, including an incorrect link for purchasing one of the songs, "NEURON," which was only rectified after an hour of fan complaints.
Additionally, the original post for the listening party had incorrect dates and times, requiring nine hours to be corrected, accompanied by a brief apology from BIGHIT MUSIC.
Fans expressed disappointment and anger over the mistakes, especially considering the label's prominence and success, largely attributed to BTS's hard work over the past decade.
The incident has sparked discussions online, with many ARMYs expressing frustration at the lack of attention to detail in promoting BTS's individual projects, calling for better management from BIGHIT MUSIC.
