BTS member J-Hope, has officially been discharged from the South Korean military after completing his mandatory service. The rapper enlisted in April last year and served 18 months, fulfilling his duties as a citizen.
Today, J-Hope was released from a military base in Wonju, Gangwon Province, where he was greeted by fellow BTS member Jin, as well as fans and reporters.
Wearing his military uniform and a black beret, J-Hope smiled warmly at the crowd that had gathered to welcome him back.
Jin, who was discharged earlier this year, met him at the base wearing red and holding a bouquet of flowers, adding a celebratory touch to the moment.
The pair greeted fans together, with Jin even helping J-Hope with his speech to the media.
Speaking to reporters, J-Hope expressed his gratitude to his fans. "Thanks to the fans, I was able to finish it safely and stay healthy,” he said. Reflecting on his time in the military, he added, "What I've realized over the past year and a half is how hard the soldiers work to protect the country."
After his release, J-Hope went live on Weverse to interact with his fans, thanking them for their continued support during his military service. ARMYs took to social media to share their excitement, posting heartwarming messages and videos celebrating his return.
