BTS' RM's Speech at Elite Graduation Ceremony Sparks Controversy

BTS members V and RM have successfully completed their basic training in the military, achieving the distinguished title of "Elite Graduate Trainees" in the 27th Recruit Training Regiment. 

The accomplishment, recognizing their exceptional performance, was celebrated at the graduation ceremony where the BTS duo received awards, as captured in videos shared by fellow soldiers' families.

RM, in a pre-recorded video message, delved into his military journey, addressing the anxieties of enlisting at a comparatively older age. Acknowledging the mental strength training, he highlighted the necessity of the military in South Korea, a nation divided and in a state of armistice.

Among his poignant reflections, RM shared the camaraderie forged during a memorable night march, expressing gratitude to officers and platoon leaders for an enjoyable training experience.

While RM's speech gained media attention, it sparked controversy among ARMYs. Some expressed skepticism about its authenticity, questioning if RM's views were coerced, as his publicly shared worldview seemed inconsistent with the content.
