BOX OFFICE: Stree 2 Enjoys Highest Opening Day As Vedaa & Khel Khel Mein Opens Poor

Stree 2 is breaking all the records in the hindi circuits with whooping collections of 63.50 crore nett apprx on the opening day which was a national holiday, August 15. While John Abraham & Akshay Kumar starrer Vedaa & Khel Khel Mein have not done that well to even compete with Stree 2. 

Rajkumar Rao & Shraddha Kapoor starrer film has beaten the likes of Pathaan, Jawan, and Animal in many of the mass circuits and even Gadar 2. The film has seen the highest number of footfalls post-pandemic. In terms of numbers Stree 2 has become the third-highest opening days film of all times.

On the other hand, Khel Khel Mein & Vedaa collected around 5.75 crore nett and 6.25 crore nett respectively. Looking forward to the national holiday & a long weekend films were expected to hit the double digits even last year OMG 2 reached around 10 Crore against giant Gadar 2.

Khel Khel Mein has done better in the bigger multiplex chains while elsewhere Vedaa is better. All this is also about how much Stree 2 is going to overshadow both these films in terms of box office. If a films collects this good on its first day audiences are likely to give it a shot anyhow and Stree 2 posses to thrash the other films easily.
