Unlike the title, Bad Newz is actually bringing some good positive hopes to the Box Office arena as the film ranks 6th highest opening films of the year without having a holiday or any additional perks.
The multi-starrer Kalki 2898 AD tops the list of highest opening day of the year. It earns Rs. 21,28,00,000 despite being released on Thursday.
Fighter is the highest opening day original Hindi film of the year. Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukon & Anil Kapoor starrer earns 20,43,00,000 at the box office which is considerably below expectations.
Shaitaan being the biggest surprise of the year earned Rs. 15,08,00,000. Shaitaan was one of underestimated film which grossed a good collection with its mouth publicity.
One of the hyped film of the year, Akshay Kumar & Tiger Shroff starring Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earned 14,87,00,000 on its opening day. Though the overall collection of the film didn't go well espite releasing on Eid.
Another big surprise was multi-starrer Crew earning in big numbers. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu & Kriti Sanon starrer film grossed 9,41,00,000 on the first day.
Lastly, recently released Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri & Ammy Virk successfully grossed 8,25,00,000 on its first day. Produced by Dharma Productions Bad Newz was a big relife for the Box Office arena to bring back audiences to the theatres.
