Janhvi Opposes Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor came specially on The Great Indian Kapil Show in order to promote their movie Devara. Few parts of the episode have gone viral on social media and there was this specific part where Saif was telling the people that he does not eat parathas anymore as his blood test showed he is allergic to milk and bread.
Janhvi added saying, “These are all frivolous allergy tests.” All these allergy tests are childish, we have been consuming all sorts of bread and pastries for centuries. (They have been taking milk and eating flour for centuries). This may have been the young actor’s mostly innocent bid at asserting what commoners go through but gluten and lactose intolerance is a very real trouble for millions of Indians. And taking these tests is among the most recommended practice if we want to learn how and why our diets need to be changed.
Thus, while dressing the gossip surrounding a gluten and lactose intolerant remark made by Janhvi Kapoor as funny quirkiness typical of modern growing Indians, one has to take a closer look at a problem that affects millions of people in the country. New to the list is gluten intolerance which commonly referred to as non-celiac gluten sensitivity and causes conditions such as bloating and fatigue but does not affect the small intestine.
Lactose intolerance is common among Indians because of gene factor, and made worse by the alterations in the diet. Biochemical changes in the body, for example, with age, causes problems with the processing of such products as milk. The comments made by Kapoor bear testimony to how the world has embarked on a crusade of sharing information about the proper diet through prominent personalities hence the call to fight the rising spread of fake health information.
