Akshay Kumar Announces Bhoot Bangla
Akshay Kumar's recent career has seen its share of highs and lows. While some of his films have struggled at the box office, his latest release, Khel Khel Mein, performed reasonably well. Despite the criticism surrounding his film choices, Akshay remains unfazed and has now announced his next project. On his birthday, he revealed that he will be reuniting with director Priyadarshan after 14 years for a film titled Bhoot Bangla.
Sharing a motion poster of the film, Akshay expressed his excitement, showing a glimpse of the horror-comedy. In the poster, Akshay is seen sipping milk with a black cat perched on his shoulder. He also posted on social media, thanking fans for their birthday wishes and stating, "I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming... can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all."
Just a few days earlier, Akshay had teased the announcement of his next project, subtly hinting at the world of Bhoot Bangla. The actor and director share a long-standing professional history, having worked together on popular films like Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhaag, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Scheduled for release in 2025, Bhoot Bangla is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films.
Apart from this project, Akshay has several upcoming films, including Welcome to the Jungle, Housefull 5, Singham Again, Sky Force, and Jolly LLB 3.
