This Diwali kicked off in true Bollywood style with the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. featuring Kartik Aaryan returning as Rooh Baba. Adding to the excitement, Vidya Balan made her comeback to the horror-comedy world after 17 years, joined by new faces like Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.
We had a chance to have a conversation with the lead of the film,Vidya Balan. In an interview with PopDiaries, she shared her thoughts on recasting her films with Hollywood stars, collaborating with Madhuri Dixit on a song, and much more.
Talking about her iconic character of Manjulika and the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise Vidya said, " So for 17 years, I've received so much love for this film. I was happy that the film did so well. Well, it's iconic. Yeah, it's really beautiful how it has kind of created its own franchise and fan base."
In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan had an intense face-off with the release of the song "Aami Je Tomar 3.0." Reacting on this, Vidya commented, " I was nervous about that because that song is so loved. And on every reality show, it's a song that has been most performed to. They told me we want you to do the song together and then I was ready with the song. And I wanted to savor this moment of being able to perform with Madhuri Dixit."
When asked about recasting Dirty, Vidya said Tom Holland would be perfect for Tushar Kapoor's role. However, when it came to replacing Sanjay Dutt in Parineeta, Vidya expressed that he is irreplaceable.
