The ultimate benchmark of power and global influence in media, the seventh annual Variety500 List has finally been unveiled. Making it to the prestigious List of 500 Most Important People in Global Media are ten esteemed Indians including actors Shah Rukh Khan and NTR Jr, filmmakers Aditya Chopra and S.S. Rajamouli, and eminent producers Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ektaa Kapoor, and Bhushan Kumar. Other notable names include industrialist Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance-Jio and proprietor of Viacom18 and, NP Singh - CEO of Sony Pictures.

The annual Variety500 List celebrates individuals who have stood out and excelled in their roles during a time when it’s increasingly challenging to differentiate oneself. Describing these industry stalwarts, for Shah Rukh Khan the publication said, “The great romantic star of the modern era reinvented himself as an action hero.”

Additionally, amongst more, Variety described NTR Jr as “The breakout star has the chameleon-like ability to slip into any role while maintaining the larger-than-life hero quality that is essential for mainstream Indian cinema success.“
