Ananya Panday has recently been praised for her performances in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae, and CTRL. However, when she first entered Bollywood, she faced a lot of criticism for her acting and interviews. Her mother, Bhavana Pandey, shared that it was initially painful to see her daughter being trolled, but over time, she learned how to handle it.
In a recent interview, Bhavana Pandey talked about her daughter Ananya Panday’s career. The Gehraiyaan actress started her journey in 2019, making her debut at just 18 years old in Student of the Year 2.
When Ananya started her career, people criticized her for different reasons, including her acting. Bhavana, her mother, felt hurt by the comments at first, but over time, she learned to ignore the negativity and focus on the positive factors.
She mentioned that, "I used to get very hurt. I used to think, how can they say these things? But I have developed a thick skin, and we tend to focus on the negative. Let's be honest, there is a lot of love also she has got. People come up to me and tell me how much they love her and how much they love her work."
In a previous conversation, Ananya mentioned that her mother is good at judging scripts. When asked about it, the Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star said she doesn't take credit for Ananya's decisions. However, she explained that Ananya sends her scripts, and if she likes one, she shares her thoughts with her daughter. On this Bhavana said, "I just support her. I'm more of a sounding board, helping boost her confidence."
She also added, " I'm very grateful she's doing well, but at the same time, if you're not a nice person, all that doing well goes out of the window."
