1. Crew

Crew had a star cast with big names like Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon. Though this movie had phenomenal starcast, audiences did not expect the film to do well, but unexpectedly, the movie was appreciated by the fans and became an instant hit with the box office collection of Rs.155.41 crores. 

2. Srikanth

An autobiographical story of a visually impaired starring Rajkummar Rao, the film was expected to be average, but surprisingly it earned nearly Rs 18 crore in its first week, and continued to earn more globally as well.

3. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya

Due to the engaging plotline, amazing soundtrack and phenomenal performances by Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, this film was a massive success with the total box office collection of 133.64 crores INR.

4. Madgaon Express

Directed by Kunal Khemu starring Avinash Tiwary, Divyenndu and Pratik Gandhi, this comedy film was loved by the younger audiences, recieved positive reviews and  grossed Rs.48 crore worldwide.

5. Munjya

The most unexpected hit of 2024 has to be Munjya, starring Abhay Varma and Sharvari Wagh. The horror comedy was appreicated for the storyline and performances by the cast. So far, the film has earned an estimate of Rs. 93 crores.

1. Maidaan

A sports biopic starring Ajay Devgn, Maidaan was expected to be a hit, but failed to connect with the audiences, and underperformed at the box office by earning Rs. 68 crores worldwide.

2. Yodha

Siddharth Malhotra playing a soldier again in the film Yodha, failed to create the magic that his other films managed to do and flopped at the box office.

3. Mr and Mrs Mahi

Much anticiapated film of the year, Mr and Mrs. Mahi starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, had a hype around it but flopped with a collection of Rs 34.15 crore.

4. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Starring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, two of the popular Bollywwod stars, the action thriller failed miserably  collecting Rs.102.16 crore, while the budget of the film was 350 crores.

5. Chandu Champion

The most anticipated film of 2024, starring Kartik Aryan, this biopic directed by Kabir Khan was supposed to be a big hit but failed to do so.
