Ranbir Kapoor: “AREY YEH TOH SHAH RUKH KHAN HAI!”
In recounting this sweet anecdote, Ranbir Kapoor provides a glimpse into the admiration and awe he holds for Shah Rukh Khan, emphasizing the profound impact the Bollywood icon has had on his journey in the film industry.

And here comes the interesting part, the actor further narrated the main starstruck moment, “I was at the signal, his red pajero came beside me and his window was down. He was smoking a cigarette, I clearly remember he was wearing blue sunglasses and I had that double-take moment “AREY YEH TOH SHAH RUKH KHAN HAI.” Then he looked at me and smiled! Obviously, he didn’t know who I was.”
Adding on, Ranbir revealed about Shah Rukh Khan’s side of first meeting with him. He said, “He also has another story to tell. Whenever I meet him, he recalls the first time he saw me. We were together on the same flight, my parents were sitting in the first class and me with my sister were in the economy class. So, he came to say Hi!”
Then he further went on to reveal how SRK always recalls those moments and laughs about how he was a clumsy and goofy kid. The ‘Animal’ actor shared, “After a few years passed, he had become even a bigger star and he came to say Hi to me and out of nervous, I stood up so fast that I hit my head up at the top.” And added, “He always laughs about how goofy and clumsy I was but Shah Rukh Khan has that effect on people right.”
Continuing with a confession that he is a super starstruck person! The young Kapoor said, “I starstruck any actor though if it’s from South India, from our industry or Hollywood. If I see someone, my first instinct is to go and ask for a picture.”
Additionally, he candidly shared his experiences of facing rejection numerous times, recalling instances where he was rudely turned away by several Hollywood stars. Despite encountering such situations, he maintains a positive outlook, emphasizing that rejection does not dampen his spirits. He added, “I still walk to them because they're my heroes and heroines. I live for the movies, I'm more of an audience than an actor.”
