Although Diwali has ended, the stunning photos and videos of our favorite celebrities are still all over social media. Bollywood actresses, from gorgeous lehengas to chic Indo-Western outfits, have raised the fashion bar this festive season. However, it was Alia Bhatt’s thoughtful and unique choice of sustainable fashion this Diwali that truly stood out, earning admiration from fashion lovers everywhere.
Instead of going for the usual style and glamour, Alia Bhatt chose a beautiful re-ceremonial saree that stands out on its own. The actress wore an ochre and gold Bibi saree, dyed with marigolds from the Siddhivinayak temple, combining traditional textiles with a modern, eco-friendly twist.
Alia's stylist, Ami Patel, chose a silk organza saree to add that eco-friendly factor for extra charm. The saree is beautifully decorated with glass beads and hand-embroidered vintage Banarasi panels, reflecting the brand’s focus on reusing valuable pieces. The designers used plant dyes on the vintage saree fragments and combined them with airy organza to create a modern ceremonial piece. This saree is priced at Rs. 82,500 on the brand’s website.
Alia Bhatt paired her saree with a Ruhani choli, made from aged metal Gota with adjustable side seams. This design allows the blouse to fit changing measurements. For accessories, she chose bold earrings with onyx details and a kadha.
Along with Alia, Ranbir Kapoor and their daughter, Raha Kapoor also twinned with her in beautiful ochre outfits, dyed with flowers from the Siddhivinayak temple. The family looked absolutely adorable and won hearts all over the internet.
