In a recent social media storm, a video featuring Bollywood stalwart Sunny Deol seemingly in an inebriated state while wandering on a bustling street went viral, prompting public scrutiny and criticism. However, the truth behind the footage has now emerged, shedding light on the actor's real intentions.
Sunny Deol was not Drunk!
Producer Vishal Rana of Echelon Productions clarified the context, stating, "It was a scene from our forthcoming film, tentatively titled 'Safar,' for which Sunny Paaji was shooting a night schedule. We request all the fans not to spread fake news surrounding this video that is going viral on the internet."
Sunny Deol, taking control of the narrative, shared a snippet on his social media, putting an end to the speculations and negativity. The post included a caption that read, "Afwaahon ka ‘Safar’ bas yahin tak #Shooting #BTS" followed by folded hands emojis.
The video in question showed Sunny Deol in a white shirt and blue denim, appearing disoriented as he walked along a street. The presence of crew members, spot boys, and camerapersons in the background revealed the staged nature of the scene, with one crew member even hearing cueing, "gaadi bhejo (send the taxi now)."

Fans rallied behind the actor, commending his style and applauding his response to the controversy. Comments such as 'Paji, you proved the haters wrong,' 'Jawab mil gaya haters ko,' and 'karara jawab Sunny paji' flooded the comment section.

Addressing the misunderstanding, a supportive tweet read by a user, “The way it was first presented. I'm a die-hard fan of yours sir & I know you're not a drinker. Even if you do, you wouldn't be doing such acts. All the best for your upcoming projects sir. Looking forward to them.”
