Aarav Bhatia, the 22-year-old son of Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, has largely maintained a low profile, steering clear of media attention and the paparazzi. But during recent Eid celebrations hosted by actress Huma Qureshi, Aarav was spotted stepping out with a mystery girl, instantly drawing the public eye.
Photos and videos from the star-studded event quickly made rounds on social media, with fans commenting not just on his rare appearance but also pointing out the uncanny resemblance he shares with his iconic grandfather, the late superstar Rajesh Khanna. The striking similarity has reignited interest in Aarav, who has so far chosen to stay away from the limelight.
Since his recent appearance, Aarav Bhatia has become a trending topic across social media platforms. Despite the buzz, his parents have consistently shared that Aarav has never been inclined toward a career in films or acting. From a young age, his passions have leaned more towards sports and martial arts. In fact, what many might not be aware of is that Aarav began his martial arts training at the age of four and is now a skilled practitioner.
Aarav’s true passion lies in fashion design. Akshay Kumar has mentioned in past interviews that his son aspires to build a successful career in the fashion industry. During an appearance on Shikhar Dhawan’s talk show, Kumar spoke, “I am happy the way Twinkle and I have brought up Aarav; he is a very simple boy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes clothes… We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion; he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said, ‘I don’t want to do films.’ I said, ‘This is your life, do what you want to do."
Aarav moved out at the age of 15 to pursue his studies overseas, choosing a life of independence away from the media spotlight. He is currently enrolled in a fashion design course. Akshay Kumar has also shared that his son takes care of his own chores, including doing his laundry and washing his dishes.
He said, “My son Aarav is studying at the university in London. He left home at the age of 15. He was always fond of studying and wanted to stay alone. It was his decision to move, even though I didn’t want him to go. However, I could not stop him because I left my home at the age of 14… He does his own laundry, he is a good cook, does the dishes and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. In fact, he goes to a second-hand store, Thrifty, to buy clothes because he doesn’t believe in wastage.”
